Specifying Semantic Email Processes
نویسندگان
چکیده
Prior work has shown that semantic email processes (SEPs) can be an effective tool for automating emailmediated tasks that are currently performed manually in a tedious, time-consuming, and error-prone manner. However, specifying a SEP can be difficult to accomplish, even for users familiar with RDF and semantic email. In response, this paper considers an approach for specifying SEP templates that can be authored once but then instantiated many times by untrained users. We describe the template language and provide a complete example, highlighting the key features needed to enable general SEPs. We then examine a number of challenges related to SEP authoring. In particular, we discuss the problem of verifying that a given template will always produce a valid instantiation and give the computational complexity of this problem. In addition, we discuss how to simplify the task of SEP authoring (and improve execution quality) by automatically generating explanations for the actions performed in pursuit of a SEP’s goals. Finally, we report on practical experience with our fully deployed system.1

Formalizing Business Process Using Hybrid Programs
A semantic annotation of business processes with concepts from ontology has become necessity in service provisioning. There have been few work on semantically labeling business processes in terms of ontology that formalizes business process structure, business domains etc. However, dynamic behavior of a process cannot be captured by such means as ontology languages are not suitable for specifyi...
متن کاملSemanta - Semantic Email Made Easy
In this paper we present Semanta – a fullyimplemented system supporting Semantic Email Processes, integrated into the existing technical landscape and using existing email transport technology. By applying Speech Act Theory, knowledge about these processes can be made explicit, enabling machines to support email users with correctly interpreting, handling and keeping track of email messages, v...
متن کاملMDE for Publishing Data on the Semantic Web
Publishing local data on the Semantic Web entails providing a shareable semantic data representation. We present a complete MDE approach that allows importing data sources into an RDF repository. At a preliminary stage, the object domain model is mapped to an ontology and to a persistence model. Specifying mappings requires a model annotation performed by a domain expert. All other processes ar...
متن کاملOn the Role of Derivational Processes in the Formation of Non-Taxonomic Classes of Lexical Units in Russian
The paper is focused on classes of lexical units which arise as a result of derivational processes – word formation and semantic transfers, acting either in isolation or together, on the basis of common semantic foundations that bind targets and sources of derivation. The lexical items which constitute the classes under study vary in their denotative characteristics and due to their categ...
متن کاملObsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Translation: Semantic Accuracy and Time Span in Focus
Abstract Translation is a process which needs concentration and a relaxed mind. Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental disorder which causes the patients to repeat something continuously so that it is done in the best way. As both translation and OCD are mental processes, this study has investigated the relation between these two mental processes. For this purpose, at first Oxford Plac...
